After School at The Wright Brothers School

The Focus Forward program gave participants the opportunity to learn various forms of creative expressions through African dance and Improvisation theater lessons.  The program also focused on parent child relations by giving the families the chance to attend various family oriented workshops and activities designed to help parent and child to work together at Camp Vacamas in New Jersey.  The families were also invited to two weekend family trips to cultural institutions in the city as incentives/ rewards for faithful participation.   At the end of the year the participants performed in “PS 28 SUMMER STRAVAGANZA”

These services were provided by staff of the Washington Heights Inwood Coalition together with Arts connection and The Wright Brothers School PS 28.  This program was made possible by a grant from The United Way.
